Head of Electrical and Automation

Location: Mumbai
Experience: Ex Electrical Engineer with min 5 to 7 years of shore experience in vessel electrical system

  Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible to provide first line support to Tankers fleet for issues covering the vessel electrical system like the navigation system, communication system, automation, power generations and electrical distribution and different innovative technology to lead the Marine industry.

Additional Responsibilities include –

·         Define overall strategy for Electrical Support, Electrical Operations and Maintenance

·         First line support to fleet groups and the vessels to ensure Navcom equipment surveys and repair are planned timely and be up to date on existing and new rules along with being responsible for modification and upgrade of projects in the fleet support

·         Be alert to new technology and innovations within the field of responsibility

·         Financial accountability for the activities along with focusing on budgeting and optimising the daily running cost of the vessels

·         Provide input and give evaluation on running new building projects for Electrical and Navigational systems

·         Have a strategic mindset, by proposing continuous optimisation of the maintenance strategy of Electrical System  

Requirements

 An ideal candidate should come with a prior work experience as a technical expert within the marine electrical and autation field and possess profound technical knowledge within the marine electrical and automation field with a Master or a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline, specialising with Marine Electrical and Power system.

·         Manage and direct teams by being accountable of the team’s performance and provide leadership including development of people, coaching, and mentoring to build organisational capabilities in accordance with the company values, culture amplifiers and general guidelines

·         As a technical expert, prior experience in dealing with complex technical failures is required with an analytical approach and a high degree of attention to detail

·         Excellent at teamwork and motivating team members

·         Good English communication skills both written and verbal and proficiency in technical terms is mandatory
