Admission to a master’s program
⦁ Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an institution recognized by UVic ⦁ The equivalent of a minimum “B” average over the last two years of your degree ⦁ Any requirements specific to your program of study (Can be discussed personally) Admission to a doctoral program ⦁ Completion of an acceptable master’s degree (or equivalent) from an institution recognized by UVic ⦁ Any requirements specific to your program of study (Can be discussed personally) or ⦁ You may be considered if you have the equivalent of an A- average in the last two years of a bachelor’s degree ⦁ Any requirements specific to your program of study Language proficiency ⦁IELTS-We require a minimum overall band score of 6.5 on the IELTS. No individual component can have a score lower than 6.0. We accept results from the Academic IELTS (not general), taken at a test center or online. ⦁TOEFL, -We require a minimum score of 90 from the internet-based TOEFL (IBT). You must also score at least 20 points each in the listening, speaking, reading and writing sections. We accept either the TOEFL iBT test taken at a test center or the iBT home edition. ⦁MET (Michigan English Test)-A score of 64 on the MET will be accepted as proof of English proficiency.
