About the Speakers


Mr. Krishnan Subramaniam
International VC of Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and advisor at Transworld Group of Companies,

Mr. Krishnan Subramaniam, International Vice Chairman of Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers , leads digital transformation and professional development initiatives and serves as a strategic advisor at Transworld Group. With over four decades of experience in the Oil, Gas, and Petrochemicals sectors across India, the Middle East, and Singapore, he has held leadership roles in marine logistics, supply chain management, and academia. His career includes significant contributions to Shell Chemicals, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (India), and Bharat Petroleum, focusing on logistics, supply chain planning, and operations management.




Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeevi Shanthakumar
Director / Vice Chancellor, Gujarat National Law University.,
  • Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeevi Shanthakumar is the Director/Vice Chancellor of Gujarat National Law University, and Provost in-charge of Gujarat Maritime University. 
  • He had earlier served as Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean Academics and Dean School of Law at G.D. Goenka University, Gurgaon. 
  • Prior to this, he was Professor & Founder Dean, Faculty of Law at SGT University, Professor & Founder Director of ITM Law School, ITM University, Professor & Founder Director of MATS Law School, MATS University; CoE & Associate Professor of Law at Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur; Senior Lecturer at Government Law College, Madurai and Chennai. 
  • He has 32 years of academic experience. He is an alumnus of Madras University where he obtained his graduation, post-graduation and doctorate degree in law.  
  • He has authored 3 books on Environmental Law and 2 books on Human Rights Law. He has published a number of research articles on various contemporary legal issues in various reputed national and international journals and edited volumes.  
  • Before joining legal academia, he was an attorney at the Madras High Court for seven years.

  • Experienced Director with a demonstrated history of working in the maritime industry.
  • Skilled in Freight, International Shipping, Ship Finance, Maritime regulations, clusters, Ports, Trading, and Commodity Markets.
