The boot camp is an excellent initiative. Most sailors think about coming ashore at some point or the other and the majority restrict themselves to shipping related futures ashore. Having done it himself and with a great degree of success, Capt. Johari helps the Mariner in some soul searching and expanding his/her vision beyond the realms of a shipping related sector. There is no dearth of opportunities in a wide range of fields if one has the talent, self-belief and willingness to take the risk. This is the takeaway from the session conducted by a person who has been through the grind and come out on top.
