Applications for postgraduate courses can be made at any time prior to the start of the course. However, we strongly recommend you apply at your earliest convenience typically by the end June of every year.

For full-time courses, the earlier the better so that you can get Visa in time

Doing Shipping and Logistics provide an intellectually challenging and stimulating programme of study in the area of international shipping, logistics and maritime business. Shipping and Logistics degree will help you develop the key skills and knowledge required to tap into this exciting, global industry.

Doing International Maritime Business 

  • Enable students to have detailed knowledge and understanding of management, legal principles and theory relating to the international shipping, maritime business and international trade.
  • Enable students to analyse, evaluate and provide solutions for a range of problems associated with commercial decisions and the legal framework pertaining to international shipping and maritime business.

Doing Shipping Operations, you will learn specialist skills in ship safety management and shipping operations, solving complex problems during challenging workplace assignments. An ability to carry out research at organisational level and beyond “Know what is going on”

An ability to respond to claims and dispute situations: “put out your markers” Development of reflective reasoning: the “critical analysis” thing.

An ordinary degree or HND in a technical or business discipline, combined with appropriate professional experience. Applicants who do not have English as their first language will be required to demonstrate an approved level of proficiency in the use of the English language. The agreed minimum requirements for this course are: 

  • IELTS 6.0 with no component score below 5.5
  • TOEFL IBT minimum 80 with a minimum of 20 in each individual component
  • Duolingo English Language Test - 100 overall with a minimum of 90 in each component or equivalent.

An honours degree (2:2 or higher) in maritime studies, shipping, business or law, or another appropriate subject and relevant professional qualifications/experience. 
English proficiency test: 

  • IELTS 6.5 with no component score below 5.5
  • TOEFL IBT 92 with a minimum of 22 in writing and a minimum of 19 in reading, listening and speaking or equivalent

Honours degree in a relevant maritime subject, such as maritime studies, shipping, maritime business or law, or other appropriate subject and relevant professional qualification and experience. Applicants who do not have English as their first language will be required to demonstrate an approved level of proficiency in the use of the English language. The agreed minimum requirements for this course are: 

  • IELTS minimum 6.0 with no component score below 5.5
  • TOEFL IBT minimum 80 with a minimum of 20 in each individual component
  • Duolingo English Language Test - 100 overall with minimum of 90 in each component or equivalent.
