Syllabus details ( 2 Hours each) :

Mathematics

  • Is it really necessary to learn mathematics? Where do I use it on board? Frequently, junior engineers ask us this question.
  • In addition to the requirement to pass this paper, math helps you master basic calculations and prepares you for the other five academic subjects.
  • Topics: Complex numbers, linear algebra, graphs, trigonometry, derivation, integration, and Boolean algebra.

Naval Architecture

  • The naval architecture will help significantly improve your performance while on board. You will be able to calculate Metacentric height in various situations, how to maintain the trim, ballasting, de-ballasting, calculations of daily fuel consumption and voyage consumption, the force exerted by water on the tanks, and so on.

Electro - Technology

  • In the past, vessels were mainly equipped with mechanical equipment controlled by motors and electronics. This is not the case today! Since the main engines themselves contain both electronic and electrical components to such a degree that companies now manage their vessels with equal numbers of mechanical engineers and electrical engineers.
  • Having an extensive understanding of electrical machines, automation, control theory, VFDs, electronics, etc., is a requirement for being a successful chief engineer of a vessel.
  • These things are reflected in the questions that appear on electrical exam question papers these days. Our coaching plan takes this into account!
  • In this program, we teach you all the basic and advanced knowledge necessary to pass the exam.
  • Topics covered: D.C. circuit, D.C. transient, A.C.: single-phase and three-phase, transformer, A.C. motors, A.C. generator, Electronics, etc.

Engineering, systems, and Ship's Drawing

  • The subject is designed to enable students to gain knowledge and understanding of mechanical assembly drawing and piping systems by being able to read pipe and instrument diagrams. Pneumatic and hydraulics drawings, electrical drawings, and ship construction are also part of this subject.

Applied Heat

  • Our goal is to make you understand the fundamentals of thermal engineering. In this course, you will become more proficient in shipboard thermal engineering concepts, such as refrigeration systems, steam turbine power plants, gas turbine power plants, I.C. engines, compressors, and many more, which comprise the syllabus of Applied Heat.

Applied Mechanics

  • In the MCA curriculum, Applied Mechanics focuses primarily on developing the ability to predict the effects of force and motion on the shipboard operation.
  • The ability to envision physical configurations based on real materials, actual constraints, and practical limitations is more than mere knowledge of physical and mathematical principles. Engineers need to develop the ability to visualize physical configurations in terms of real materials, constraints, and limitations that govern the behaviour of machines and structures.
  • In other words, this is exactly what the syllabus expects from a candidate, and our prep program focuses on imparting this knowledge to our candidates efficiently.
  • Units covered: Friction, Statics, Kinematics, Dynamics, Strength of material machines, etc.

To gain a comprehensive understanding of the course content, available resources, and the instructional approach, you can enroll yourself for free video modules. These modules serve as a succinct yet informative overview of the actual course, aiding individuals in making well-informed and conscious decisions regarding  enrollment.

Happy learning!
