Sparklehood in association with Sea and Beyond is conducting a workshop series on Angel Investing. The workshop aims to help HNIs and prospective investors from the mariner community to acquire knowledge of investing in early stage start-ups.
It is structured to enable participants to develop and maintain startup deal flow, evaluate startup investment opportunities, form relationships with practicing angel investors and learn through case studies which reflect the ground realities of investing in India.

Saurabh Kumar
Co-Founder Sparklehood,1. Saurabh Kumar: is a serial entrepreneur and a DMET & IIT Kanpur alumnus. He is a partner at Sparkle hood. His previous startup “Ziff Homes”, a co-living platform valued at USD 25 million in Jan 2020. Ziff Homes was a part Y-Combinator, which has invested in companies like Airbnb, Stripe, Razor pay and many more. He has approximately 14 years of industry experience in leadership roles ranging from Investment Banking, Real Estate, Social sector, Manufacturing and merchant navy.
Shilpika Ganeriwala
Co-Founder Sparklehood,Shilpika Ganeriwala: She has 3 years of global investing experience across private equity teams at DE Shaw and Kingfish Group. She graduated with a gold medal from IIM Indore in 2018, and is also a CFA level 3 candidate.
Capt. Yashoverman Sharma
Director of ‘True North Competence Management,Captain Yashoverman Sharma, Director of True North Competence Management, is a distinguished alumnus of Mayo College, Ajmer. With a career spanning decades, he has excelled in training and management development within the maritime industry. Captain Sharma's expertise has influenced policy-making under the Directorate General of Shipping in India and he has contributed significantly to curriculum development for maritime education. He is a Fellow of the Nautical Institute UK and the Company of Master Mariners of India, highlighting his esteemed status in the maritime community.
His association with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad as a visiting faculty member underscores his commitment to executive education tailored for the shipping, ports, and aviation sectors.
