VS Parani Profile: Captain VS Parani is the author of Golden Stripes- Leadership on the High Seas- the world's first book on leadership specifically for mariners, by a merchant-mariner. Captain Parani has held several positions at multinational companies with large fleets where he was responsible for the Safety, Vetting, Crewing and Training Departments, as well as led new-build projects and data-transformation initiatives. He is also a Fellow of the Nautical Institute and the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, and a Chartered Marine Technologist with the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology. He has multiple Masters degrees in Navigation, Law and Business. He currently lives with his family in Cyprus. He has been published in various international magazines, and he also writes articles on maritime leadership on his own website parani.org
