Dr (Capt.) Nadeem Anwar
Kunal Anand
Dr (Capt.) Nadeem Anwar is a highly qualified and experienced British Master Mariner and Fellow of The Nautical Institute, qualified to post graduate level, with over 12 years of teaching and managing experience. Presently employed with Solent University as a Course Director. He has worked as Director & Managing Partner for a leading international marine training provider from the USA a Consultancy/Logistics company in Bahrain as Managing Director. Recent work includes development of Training Course for Ship Handling, Ship-to-Ship Transfer, Pilotage and VTS Authority, Advanced Tanker Training. Previously spent over 10 years at a UK Nautical College from Lecturer to Curriculum Manager and 14 years at sea with command experience.
Kunal Anand is head of subject group for Maritime Business & Operations. He is an ex-merchant navy officer. Having done his initial seafaring qualifications from Singapore Maritime Academy, he then completed his senior qualifications from Warsash. He sailed mostly on crude and product tankers of various sizes around the world. Later on, in his career he completed MSc in International Maritime Studies (Shipping, Ports & environment) from Solent university. Kunal is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Associate Fellow of Royal Institute of Navigation and a Member of the Nautical Institute. He is currently the Chair of IASST, UK Chapter, member of the Professional development committee of Nautical Institute and Member of the Merchant Navy Training Board, Technical committee.
The webinar would consist of the following:
-30-35 minute presentation by Kunal where he would discuss the above topics.
-20-25 minutes of Q&A wherein the presenters would take questions
-A quick feedback survey about the webinar
After the webinar a Q&A session will take place. It would be preferable to have the candidate’s queries before the webinar.

About the Speakers
Mr. Kunal Anand
Head of Maritime Professional Courses - Solent University,Kunal Anand is head of subject group for Maritime Business & Operations. He is an ex-merchant navy officer. Having done his initial seafaring qualifications from Singapore Maritime Academy, he then completed his senior qualifications from Warsash. He sailed mostly on crude and product tankers of various sizes around the world.
