About the Speakers
Mr. Kunal Anand
Head of Maritime Professional Courses - Solent University,Kunal Anand is head of subject group for Maritime Business & Operations. He is an ex-merchant navy officer. Having done his initial seafaring qualifications from Singapore Maritime Academy, he then completed his senior qualifications from Warsash. He sailed mostly on crude and product tankers of various sizes around the world. Later on, in his career he completed MSc in International Maritime Studies (Shipping, Ports & environment) from Solent university.
Kunal is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Associate Fellow of Royal Institute of Navigation and a Member of the Nautical Institute. He is currently the Chair of IASST, UK Chapter, member of the Professional development committee of Nautical Institute and Member of the Merchant Navy Training Board, Technical committee.
Nicola Pryce Roberts
Course Leader,Nicola Pryce-Roberts is Course Director and has extensive experience of lecturing and running programmes at Liverpool John Moores University and lecturing in Greece and Iran.
Nicola is an experienced marine salvage academic whose work in this area has been featured on TV, radio and in printed media nationally and internationally.
Nicola is currently working on: Maritime Salvage in the Twenty First Century
