Capt. Bahl has also been a successful entrepreneur and established a marine survey company “Murray Fenton India Surveys Ltd” on his own in 1988. He led the company and at one point it had 7 offices and employed 3 master mariners, 3 chief engineers, 1 electric engineer, 1 naval architect and 6 officers. Capt. Bahl is now director in both Murray Fenton and BMT Consultants India.
Capt. Bahl has been a visionary, extremely pro-active and always ahead of time. This can be seen from the various courses that he has attended over a period of time. The courses have been attendedt from different parts of the world and mostly in anticipation of the enforcement of new regulations. He is also empanelled as an ‘Expert Adviser’ to the ‘Union Public Service Commission’ Nautical Section, Govt. of India and is in the managing committees of Nautical Institute and Company of Master mariners of India.
