Capt. Chaube joined sea in the year 1991 through T.S Rajendra. He sailed on mainline vessels till 2004 and then shifted ashore as a pilot in Mumbai port. After working in JNPT he went to Mundra port in 2008 and has been there since that time. He became DGM (Marine Operations) in the year 2010 and was promoted as GM and Head of Marine Services, in the year 2013.

His primary responsibility is to ensure safe navigation of ships in Mundra Port, conservancy of Mundra Port Harbour, providing technical inputs for construction of new berths and terminals, meeting Marine Department’s compliance requirement and achieving budgeted targets. He also recruits and interviews marine pilots for Mundra port.

Capt Sansarchandra Chaube has the distinction of handling the largest container ships to have ever called India. He is passionate about port operations and pilotage in particular and believes that Attitude and Teamwork are the main driving force behind all successful organisations.
