About Professor Viswanath Pingali: He is the Chairperson for MBA-PGPX course and teaches in the field of economics at IIM-A. His lectures on Game theory and it’s applications are well renowned and his interactive teaching method makes him extremely popular in whichever courses he teaches.
Professor Pingali has published numerous research papers and articles mainly in the field of Industrial organization, pharmaceuticals and behavioral economics.
He was recently felicitated with the “SRK Distinguished PGPX Faculty” Award in 2019.
Professor Pingali is keen to keep a good connect with his students and is very well aware of the background, expectation and feedback of personnel belonging to merchant navy background. He was also the chairperson of “General Management in Shipping” course which IIM-A conducts on an annual basis.
Expectation from the participants
We will share the PGPX brochure and last years placement report (both publicly available) with all the participants. It is expected that as a registered participant, you:
Read through the Brochure and Placement reports
Do not ask basic questions like “How long is the course”, “What is the fees”, “How is the placement record” as all this information will be provided
Do not ask very specific questions about one selves. We can take these questions offline after the webinar.
Ask intelligent questions around topics where you have confusion or require more clarity.
